About my research
My research goal is to understand the molecular regulation of seed development and identify key genetic and regulatory factors governing important seed traits. I use multi-omics approaches, including microRNA, long noncoding RNA, transcriptome, and proteome analyses, in Brassica juncea and Sorghum bicolor to uncover the molecular networks underlying seed size, development, and nutrient accumulation. By integrating these omics datasets, I aim to identify robust candidate genes and regulatory molecules that can be harnessed to improve seed size and nutritional quality. Ultimately, my research seeks to translate these molecular insights into practical strategies for crop improvement and the development of nutritionally superior, high-performing crop varieties.
