About my research

My research focuses on enhancing the performance of orthopedic implants using Rotary Ultrasonic-Assisted Abrasive Flow Finishing (R-UAAFF), an advanced hybrid finishing process. The technique combines abrasive flow, ultrasonic vibration, and rotary motion to improve the surface quality of complex implant components. The research aims to reduce surface roughness, defects, friction, and wear while improving corrosion resistance and functional performance. By developing a controlled and efficient finishing process for difficult-to-machine biomedical materials, the work seeks to improve the reliability, durability, and service life of orthopedic implants.

Current research challenge

I am currently working to solve the challenges of achieving high-quality, defect-free surfaces on complex orthopedic implants, while reducing friction, wear, and corrosion. I also aim to develop efficient, controllable, and intelligent finishing processes that can improve implant performance and service life.
