HST is an annual event organized by Catalyst that aims to bring together stakeholders of Indian startup ecosystem. HST 2017 had participation from large number of startup enthusiasts, investors, industry experts and government officials who deliberated on a range of startups related issues. 15 handpicked startups out of over 100 applications pitched to a jury and five selected teams were offered incubation support at Catalyst.
The 2nd edition of HST will have a much larger scale and outreach. Sonam Wangchuk, awardee of "Global Award for Sustainable Architecture", is an engineer, innovator and education reformist from Ladhakh. He is the founding-director of the Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL), founded in 1988. Known for designing the SECMOL campus, he is also the founder of Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh.
