Inauguration of the G2 block, Nako hostel, 15th Mar

On Sunday 15th March, 2015, Shri M. Natarajan Chairman, BoG, IIT Mandi, inaugurated the G2 block of the Nako hostel in IIT Mandi’s Kamand campus. The G2 block has 22 rooms. The G2 block has been constructed using light gauge steel frame (LGSF). The salient feature of this type of construction is that the rooms have excellent insulation, i.e., they remain cool during hot summers and warm during cold winters.

Timothy A. Gonsalves, Director, IIT Mandi; Prof. B.S. Subramanian, Dean (students); Dr. Varun Dutt, Chief Warden; and, Dr. Arnav Bhavsar, Warden, Nako Hostel were also present during the inauguration.
